Sync Period Privacy Policy

Local-first storage

Cycle dates, symptoms, moods, notes, settings, prediction feedback, imports, and restored history are encrypted on your device. Sync Period has no ads or behavioral analytics SDKs and does not sell personal information.

Optional partner sharing

Partner sharing is optional and off by default. The relay receives an access locator, a one-way owner-authorization hash, end-to-end encrypted update contents, and timestamps. It never receives the private invite secret required to decrypt the update. Each relay update expires after no more than 30 days, and scheduled cleanup deletes expired updates.

Physical symptoms and menstrual flow, sex-drive and intimacy check-ins, and moods are separate, default-off permissions that can each be turned off again. Shared check-ins use relative current-cycle days rather than exact log dates. Discharge, medications, written notes, other sexual details, and earlier-cycle history remain excluded. A check-in never indicates consent.

Network abuse prevention

Cloudflare provides the network, Worker, and database infrastructure. The relay processes a network address to prevent abuse but stores only a one-way hash, never the raw address. The hash becomes eligible for deletion after two rate-limit windows, and scheduled cleanup normally removes it within 20–25 minutes. Cloudflare may process network information under its own policies to deliver and secure the service. Sync Period does not use this information for ads, profiling, or tracking.

Imports, backups, and deletion

Flo JSON imports and private backup validation happen on the device. Sync Period does not upload an imported Flo file to the partner relay. Exported backups omit app-lock PIN hashes and private partner credentials.

You can permanently delete local app data from the Privacy Center. Stop partner sharing first to remove the current relay update immediately. An offline copy already opened on a recipient’s device remains under that recipient’s device control.

Notifications

Notification permission is optional, and generic lock-screen wording is the default. More detailed reminder wording is used only when you choose it.
